What is Posed In Home Newborn Photography?

Penrith - Western Sydney - Blue Mountains - Hawkesbury - The Hills District

Posed newborn photography is a specialized genre of photography that focuses on capturing artistic and adorable images of your newborn baby in carefully arranged and posed positions. Unlike candid or lifestyle newborn photography, where the baby is captured in natural and unscripted moments, posed newborn photography involves creating specific setups, often using various props, wraps, and backdrops, to achieve visually stunning and aesthetically pleasing images.

This style of photography typically takes place within the first two weeks of a baby's life when they are most likely to sleep deeply and curl up into adorable positions, reminiscent of their time in the womb. I work closely with you & your newborn to ensure your baby's comfort and safety throughout the photo session.

Posed newborn photography often emphasizes the small size & delicate features that pass all too quickly.

A posed newborn photo session requires consistent lighting, a warm atmosphere & adorable outfits - for this reason I do require parking close to your home for the duration of the shoot.

A benefit of choosing posed newborn photos is the focus is solely on baby- I am able to capture your newborn gallery utilising a small area, close to a power point (for lighting & heating), there is no need for your home to be magazine ready- those early weeks with a newborn are stressful enough without having to worry about getting your home photo ready.

Family photos are included in all packages- in most instances I utilise a spare wall within your home as the backdrop, or gather the family on the couch- the choice is yours.
